We Are Making Our Mark With Award Winning Wines
We opened our first winery in August 2009 and our second winery in August 2010. Since opening day, we have worked to create fine wine that is value priced. Since opening, we have crafted 16 wines and have won a total of 15 medals in International competitions. Our latest awards are from the 2011 New York Finger Lakes Wine Competition, announced in early April 2011. For the second year in a row, our Riesling placed high, winning GOLD this year. Our SILVER medal finalists included Sunset Syrah and Gewurztraminer. Our BRONZE medal winners included our Texas Chardonnay and our Reserve Cabernet Franc. In February 2011, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, International Wine Competition revealed the winners and for the second year in a row, Cabriolo and Rustic Red Reserve won. This year our Cabriolo won BRONZE in the Bordeaux class and our Rustic Red Reserve won SILVER in the Bordeaux class PLUS a SILVER buckle after being named Reserve Class Champion. In fact, we provided a 3-litre bottle of Rustic Red Reserve to HLSR for the wine auction held on March 6, 2011 and it sold for $19,000 in its group. That sure makes a $35 dollar bottle seem like a really good deal doesn't it?
